THE GOOD: There are some dandy features included with this LG Smart TV. Yahoo, Netflix, You Tube, and Picasa are among the popular apps built in. Setup is fairly foolproof: just plug in an Ethernet cable and with a standard broadband internet connection, this Smart TVautomatically pulls up its internet set up menu (We recommend using the automatic settings as this is simplest and most useful for the average user).

Once the setup menu is activated, navigation is a breeze. For example, a Netflix que can be set up and connected to your personal Netflix account, allowing you to pull up your “instant watch que” to watch any movies or TV shows placed there.

Outside of the Smart TV aspect, this LG set is designed well. There are a multitude of inputs  (three components, four HDMI, LAN, RGB, composite inputs, USB, HD audio/optical input, and a handy wall dongle for saving space if the set is wall hung. This LG set is Energy Star compliant, and as an LED TV, delivers top quality picture, brightness and contrast ratio.

THE BAD: As an LED Smart TV, the cost may be a little more than LCD or Plasma comparable Smart TVs, but LG is generally a pretty good bargain for what you get.

THE UGLY: Beware! If you are on the 3D bandwagon, look elsewhere. This LG Smart TV does not accept the 3D input signal. Always look for 120 hrz input, not the 12o hrz refresh rate.

Many folks are brand loyal when it comes to televisions. If you are an LG fan, you will most likely be more than satisfied with this Smart TV!

THE GOOD: The LG Infinia features a nice set of available “premium”apps, including Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, Napster, Twitter, Facebook, the NBA (featuring real time box scores and video clips) and 14 other streaming media outlets. Ultra slim magic wand remote, similar to using a mouse or Nintendo Wii control. While accessing apps, you can still see your HDMI or regular broadcast inputs via a screen-in-screen on the app menu. Considering the reasonably good picture, the fun magic wand remote, and the easy to use web browser apps, this is a very nice LED Smart TV for the price!

THE BAD: The sound on this TV is not as rich and full as many other similar type sets.

THE UGLY: This Smart TV does pick up a good amount of screen glare from ambient light.
